  • You can also warm the Botanical Eye Pillow slightly in the microwave to help relieve dry eyes strained by screen time. Or you can cool the Botanical Eye Pillow in the fridge/freezer (pop in a bag first) to help reduce puffiness & swelling of eyes or the relief of tension headaches.

    The Botanical Eye Pillow can also be used for yoga, meditation & at bedtime to help send you off into a deep restful sleep.

  • Lavender - “Lavandula Angustifolia”, a very versatile botanical. It has whole-body calming & balancing properties. It’s one of my favourite botanicals & I have several varieties of lavender in my garden, māra. My main ones are “Pacific Blue” & “Grosso” which are used for their essential oils & therapeutic properties. It can help ease headaches, stress, anxiety, tension & exhaustion and is great for emotional support. It’s also a wonderful botanical for helping with sleeplessness. The compounds linalool & linalyl acetate in lavender are proven to reduce anxiety & promote relaxation.

    Chamomile - “Matriccaria Chamomilla”, best known for its wonderful calming properties. It’s a gentle botanical which makes it great for all ages. Chamomile has a gorgeous mild apple-like scent. Chamomile contains Apigenin, a flavonoid that binds to benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, producing a mild sedative effect.

    Lemon balm - “Melissa officinalis”, a member of the mint family, a gentle nervine which helps calm & rejuvenate the nervous system easing anxiety, nervous tension, headaches & promote sleep. It’s effective for those whose sleep troubles stem from anxiety.

    Hops - “Humulus lupulus”, can aid sleep by calming the central nervous system through compounds that interact with GABA receptors, promoting relaxation and deeper sleep. Hops flowers contain methylbutenol, a compound with significant sedative properties. Abraham Lincoln was said to have used a pillow filled with hops to help him sleep.

    Blue Lotus - “Nymphacea caerulea”, considered a natural sedative that can help reduce anxiety and stress, contributing to a more peaceful state of mind for sleep.

    Rose - “Rosa spp.”, a calming botanical with a gentle nervine property, great for soothing the senses & inducing a calming effect. Rose provides emotional balancing properties that help quiet a busy mind, perfect for those that struggle with racing thoughts at bedtime.

    Passionflower - “Passiflora incarnate”, a gentle & soothing botanical for sleep, anxiety & nervous tension. It works on the GABA pathway in the brain, which is a neurotransmitter involved in relaxation & sleep onset. It also helps to quiet an overactive mind that interferes with sleep onset.

  • brown rice; organic botanicals - lavender, chamomile, lemon balm, hops, rose, passionflower & blue lotus; pure therapeutic essential oil blend of lavender, marjoram, clary sage & roman chamomile.

    ***If pregnant - seek medical advice before using essential oils***

  • Once the scent has faded, give the pillow a good rub to get the oils going again or refresh with a few drops of Lavender essential oil.

    Best place to store your Botanical Eye Pillow when your not using is under your pillow. Can also be put in your clothing drawer to scent PJ’s or linen cupboard to scent sheets.

    For external use only. Discontinue if irritation occurs.
